Advice on Travel Vegas to Brainard

Snowing north of Omaha today, better weather Sunday. Tom

We go I-40 to 54 At tucumcari then on to 35N @ wichita all the way to Minneapolis. A little less chance of weather and not so much climbing. Went 80 to Salt Lake on the way out to LV this year. Probably wont go again..The route I describes has a couple of hundred miles of 2 lane but reasonably ok.
