I've used an air hammer with pretty good success on those bushings, on the advice of a mechanic buddy of mine.

Last two suggestions , in conjunction with one another, work well.
Heat the outer casing with a torch until the rubber pops out, then fold the casing in with an air chisel and push it right out . No chisel marks that way.
Just don't let the EPA see you do this.

make sure you dump the junk in the river...seems to be ok with the epa out here

If they are seen on my land I can guarantee they'll never be seen again.

We used the torch method too. Someone mentioned toasting marshmallows over the burning rubber until I said I wouldn't be taking them to their chemotherapy treatments if they did.

Years ago I had thought about building a '78 Fairmont boxtop with the 302 / C4 combo
