I've used an air hammer with pretty good success on those bushings, on the advice of a mechanic buddy of mine.

Last two suggestions , in conjunction with one another, work well.
Heat the outer casing with a torch until the rubber pops out, then fold the casing in with an air chisel and push it right out . No chisel marks that way. Just don't let the EPA see you do this.
