In a heads up race, the worst red light is also the first & losing, right? Same as a handicap pairing now. Am I missing something?

So how will this reflect the other divisions ? without taking their own vote?

This thread was started by my friend James Boyce to take a poll of Division 6 Stock and Super Stock racers on their like or dislike of Tru-Start, that is all it was for. Thanks to Peter Biondo for his posts to help understand Tru-Start. By the way Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.

Thanks for explaining Peter. That is exactly the way I thought it worked and see no down side to it. Unfortunately many stories get embellished as time goes on confusing the true intent.

Peter: Thank you. When I get my car converted, I'm in.
Would the RTs on the scoreboard read LEFT -0.002 WINNER RIGHT -0.018 Micky: James is seeking opinions of D6 drivers affected by this. James and Jim Storms run the Stock/SuperStock Combo series out here.

Why would there be RTs on the scoreboard in an elimination round?

For Tru-Start
since the car that breaks out the most loses,a similar rule should apply on the starting line . |

Dale-
The scoreboards will function exactly as they do now. The only difference is with TruSTART the appropriate win-light wouldn't be on until both drivers leave the starting line. The way it is without TruSTART (currently), the race is automatically (instantly) over when the slower car leaves with a foul start. With TruSTART, the timing system waits for the faster car to leave the starting line, and at that point it determines the winner and turns on the appropriate win-light in a red light (or double redlight) situation. Hope this helps.
