One thing that may help on the case breakage problem is to run a rubber trans mount. Many racers use a solid steel mount, and that puts a big twist through the trans, if there is any chassis flex. This is actually good advice for any transmission, not just the 200.

You are exactly right about the tranny mount.. The last time I broke a case I was using a solid mount, never again.. The tranny needs to flex a little or you will have nothing but problems.. No- problems with trannys since, the other thing to do is an engine strap on drivers side, that also helped.... Good luck, Dave,

Ditto on rubber rear mount and torque strap on driver's side of motor. With those, the side brace and cast pan have had no further case problems. One other problem area could be the stock cast stator support on the front pump. I've broken one, and a local Firebird racer has also experienced that failure using the TH-200. Jim Mantle has a fix he's developed for that by re-machining the pump to accept a specially modified steel stator support......

Thank you all, We've been die hard th350 users, but areg oing to try this 200, and i never would hve thought something as simple as a cast pan would help he case live, but it makes sense now!
