Here' s two easy peasy DF/S cars
First one is getting hard to find. 94 Cavalier, 3.1 60 degree, 145 hp Stick or automatic. 15.60 index 14's easy enough. I still see these around here: 99 or thereabouts Monte Carlo 3.1, aluminum head, 155 hp. Not a lot different than the 3.4 we had.. less cam lift, less compression, and 16 less cubes, but 500 lbs lighter in DF/S Yeah? Time to get off the couch yet?

Hey Father (elapsed) Time, I thought that FWD combos didn't qualify as "Dime Rockets"!

I think you and Doug just proved otherwise.

I changed my mind, after seeing 90 cents or more go into that Monte Carlo. Besides, I 've got plenty of D/R's that are RWD, but they're au..au..automatics, and that ain't me. RWD D/R stick shift cars are as rare as old Escorts.

How about a 77-79 Camaro or some Firebirds With a 305 2V? Watch your shipping wts. and you can make U/S! Got to be plenty of them and Novas around for not big bucks.

As evident I must like a "slow" V-8 Stick car as much as anyone. Given that if you try to do one on a budget it will be a parts eater. Unless you find something really light or horribly underfactored like a 302 FFFFord. The fox body 5.0 guys throw away good 8.8 rear ends too.
