Silicone is a mess. And you have to clean it off every time you take them apart MJ. Call me lazy but I like using reusable gaskets that seal as good as silicone without all the disadvantages ..

Yes, you do have to clean it off when taking them apart...l

I don’t use either one. No gasket to burn out and no silicone to clean up.
