Al was one of Stock Eliminators all time Great racers. Always willing to help others. Remember asking him a question on a Quadrajet problem I was having one time. He took me in his trailer and showed me a trick he used to slow down the secondary opening. It was a small valve from a fish tank air pump. He would put it in the line with the front pull off to slow down the opening , with the proper adjustment it would help eliminate a stumble. Pretty clever Al. He and Bev put a lot of miles on that old motorhome they had towing all over the country, and many times he rebuilt that tow vehicles 400 turbo, or power plant on the side of the road, or in the pits at a racetrack. What an awesome gentleman that Al was. Always ready to race, willing to give advice and tell some really cool stories that relate to our beloved sport. He was definitely someone I looked up to here in D3 and will always remember. RIP my friend.
