The way I see it no matter what happens with the Coke lawsuit, which will be a protracted litigation, the N.H.R.A. as we currently know it is in peril.
Like it or not sportsman racers need the N.H.R.A. infrastructure and maybe this will cause a reorganization and a new and fresh beginning as most of us believe the N.H.R.A. leadership team needs a tune up from the neck up. I hope the Lucas Oil sponsorship is safe. |

There were plenty of NHRA members that sent in their membership fees at the beginning of the year,License fees, chassis fees , number fees, you name it fees. Safety equipment expiring. When NHRA needs the sportsman racers to show up for a show. The pits are full of hotrods, show quality cars and engineering at its finest. About time NHRA pays the sportsman racers back. The fees go up but the purses haven't moved in decades.
