in a 100 car race there it a random 10% chance for one to be in the finals.but two spots in the finals so it higher.say it a 50 car race now it a 20% chance for one car in the top 10 to make it.

The number one qualifier going on to win is probably less than 1%. Top 10 in a 75 car field. Probably less than 5%. The folks that win normally save their combination for the race not qualifying.

I'm pretty sure Steve Wann has won from the number one spot at a Divisional race in the last few years.
