The SFI cases are so much nicer to work with, IMO. I don't miss getting to the top bellhousing bolts in my stock chassis Nova while trying to use two long extensions from below and working around/through the shield.
In just a couple weeks I'll be pulling the trans from both of my cars to have them stripped down and the cases sent in for recert, and that does suck a little bit. And when you do that, don't forget to send the steel liner as well! I learned that the hard way my first time.
