I agree with you both - I think its pretty conclusive that the 69 Spring B/SA winner was W olf & Mclelland.
Ray McClelland won A/Stock Auto at the 68 SpringNats in a 62 Cat...so the class drop makes sense. Re - Joe Dougherty - I have a pic showing he ran a 150 Delivery, not a Wagon. Last edited by Rat Patrol; 09-29-2021 at 04:04 AM. |

McClelland won 68 Spring C/SA=9.00 class in the big SuperDuty Cat. That same class became D/SA=9.00 for 69 Spring, which he won in the same car. It could well be that Wolf won B/SA=8.00 in Spring 68, but I'm still not sure which car - a highly factored RA4? That's about all that makes sense. Agree on Dougherty - I just put wagon because Boyce'e text says that. But on the same pg116 he shows a picture of the Sedan Delivery, which was the usual entry down there until the big truck transmission was banned for the 1970 season. It's actually a better fit to class anyway. |
