Can now confirm it did not end up there.

Would like to find out where it ended up though.

Fields won C/S=9.00 class at 73 Indy, and ran in C/S=9.00 at 74 Indy (famous mystery picture vs Dick Simon A/SA=8.00 Fairlane ragtop).

I had concluded that Fields Hard Times started out running RA2 but then ran as a RA1 W/P=9.17. This picture seems to confirm he made that change in 1972, probably because the RA2 at W/P=8.57 was too hot even for 1972's A/S=9.00 class. Then the car continued to win as a RA1 car. Was hoping Oldskool would chime in but I guess that will be later and elsewhere.

If anyone knows why the changeover on this paint scheme let me know. I believed one scheme was 69 season the other carry over into 70 season. But I have pictures of the all blue Pontiaction in August of 69 as well as what is remembered as being In 70.

The red Action and door lettering looks more like the 68 car style. Both drivers remember only one paint scheme problem is they each remember a different one as being “the only one”. I know at one point it got a shift light RAV style tach but it doesn’t appear the change of that part coincided with the paint scheme change based on pictures.

Also please look for more pictures, I need a good picture of the trunk area of this car . The More pictures found closer I get to a 100% correct paint scheme .
