This is taking forever, car still in paint jail. Lost about 3 months due to all the rain and a re-roof at the paint shop. Almost finished with buffing. (little specs must be on my cell phone lens because there were none on the door.) I'm going to have a hard time finishing the build waiting for the first nick or scratch!

Finally brought the car home from paint (20 months) it’s still in the trailer because I didn’t realize how much stuff accumulated in my garage during that time, the car won’t fit. LOL
Now I need to clean out the garage first before I can start final assembly. Hope to be joining the fun soon.

Out in the sun wearing trailer tires. Time to get busy.

Looks like the shop did a good job. Very nice color. I'm not a Shelby guy. Is that the original color?

Not original blue, just wanted a more modern color that “pops” a bit more. The paint was expensive but I think worth it. It was taken down to bare metal and made very straight and smooth for a 55yr old car. Multiple primer coats, sealer, base coat, 4 or 5 clear coats and about 40hr sand and buff. I’m almost afraid to touch it LOL.

I don't blame you! Can't wait to see it when it's finished.
