The lathe I purchased is 1970 model and it needs a good cleaning. It’s a 17 X 60 Summit with very little ware. It does have a Buck 10 “ adjustable 6 jaw chuck. It’s a little low on head stock oil so we have some on order.

Cool! I just picked up an industrial milling machine. Wife asked, I said I needed it to build the stocker
![]() Lathe is next though! Love the elephant build! Can't wait until I'm at the point I can start looking at incremental improvements to get the last out of it instead of figuring how to hit the index. |

Back from the PRI Show with new information to be armed and dangerous. I can’t believe I drove 700 + miles to realize that I needed one of these. I have something similar but just not good enough for the task at hand. For me the show is about furthering my race education. There are always classes to help people in the quest for success in racing and or the racing business. Just like Uncle Al reminds people “It doesn’t cost a thing to pay attention”.

Santa Clause brought the Vee blocks early. Other stuff is still on he way. Between being a good grandpa and going to my granddaughter basketball games, doctor’s appointments, and typical maintenance for transportation and home, Dumbo has had to take a backseat. Life sometimes gets in the way of racing

I’m trying to finish a car with a full time 3yr old. Some of you may say I have a 3yr old what’s so difficult, but he is one of nine grandchildren along with five great grandchildren.
Sometimes I think I’m too old for this (kids, not the car LOL)
