Good to meet you at Woodburn Gary, you?re right about there many choices. I keep thinking about what IHRA is offering for the East Coast at least and they may very well overcome the loss of credibility when Rich and Alan departed. Watched a little of the video from the race and it certainly looks enticing?.see sample here.

BTW it was a pleasant surprise to hear Alan Reinhart on the mic at Woodburn!

Looks like I should have attended as it appears to be a well run race. What I have a problem with is being referred to as a coward because I chose to wait and see. Seems like name calling is way to common these days. Racers as well as everyone else a right to spend hard earned money the way they see fit. Rick.

Based on the success and professionality displayed from Darana Raceway (Columbus), I have added the second one there to my race schedule and plan to attend. Although they are bringing one closer to me in GALOT, I cannot in good faith wait to attend one of these races knowing they need the support and the money they are offering up for grabs. I hope all of my counterparts can make the same schedule changes. If I'm not mistaken, the next race at Columbus is on top of Beech Bend, so a lot of racers will have to choose. I hope they choose wisely.

Oh my fault, in the original schedule had it as the same weekend, it seems it was moved to the first week of September. Horray, we can all go to both!

Same about meeting you Jim. No matter what they call it racing at National Trails or Columbus or it's new name Darana? It has been on my bucket list for quite a while, as is Norwalk, and a few others in that region and others in the country. It will not happen his Summer as 5 weeks in Div. 6 and a Div. 7 open is taking up this 1. Then Back to Div. 7 to finish out this race season that starts back up in Sept. and won't end until Dec starts.

I really hated missing Dallas in May as I was packed and ready to make the trip to sell a car for a friend nearby the race, and bring home a bunch of parts (the roller deal fell through), and Severe weather was in the forecast for the Motorplex area...and the last place I can afford to be is a sitting duck staying in the pits during twister creating type weather at my age.

I was pleased when I heard Alan pick up the mic too! Headed back there this week and hope that they kept him over for the Night Of Fire event too! But I doubt they did.
