How about this;

How many ads have you seen where they have two or three times invested than the asking price.
Or, beautifully rotisserie restored cars asking astronomical prices that they will never see.
Or, absolute rust buckets asking 10K or more.
I follow BAT and other sites daily and the market is all over the place.

Most twenty somethings want a BMW not a Duster or a G1 Camaro.

He was on Garage Squad with Bruno Massel, his name is Joe Zolpher. I understand what he's saying, but our demise has been greatly exaggerated!!!

Two of my boys are currently racing in super stock, my oldest had raced a few years back. I am thankful for all of them, John

Unfortionally works both ways. I had to do some whole sale selling when my wife was battling cancer. My daughter loves my racing. I guess I messed up not getting her behind a wheel at an early age. Always a chance still!

When I retired I got rid of everything, knowing no one in the family (even though my boys are gearheads they were not interested) wanted all this stuff unloaded everything except my fire suit and Helmet (including fire proof underwear with skid marks), still have all the safety gear. My wife said well what are you gonna do with that. Told her you will bury me in it. If she cremates me it might take some time..LOL

I don't fully agree with him that the bottom will fall out of the 60,s 70,s muscle car market, because I predicted the same thing 10yrs ago. Although it will probably cool down a little because all these cars will be in the hands of millionaires and they might eventually get tired of buying and selling each other's cars.
I really enjoy watching the auctions on TV, but I'm convinced they have made it impossible for any hard working middle class car nut to afford one of these cars. Several years ago I spent 2-3 hrs looking at cars at Mecum Dallas before they went across the stage. I'm pretty sure some of these cars had been in a pasture a few weeks earlier. Power washed, patched up, painted, nice new wheels and tires....But amazingly the fat cats in the reserved section sipping on wine where absolutely paying all the money!

I really don't care....at this point and at this rate...I'm going to wear it out before I die, as long as I have my health I will travel and race every single day I can from now until the Good Lord says it is my day to pass on from this planet. And I'm seriously chasing races not points at this point in time...The only Div. This year I won't race in is Div. 5...had to make a choice between D2 and D5.

Win or lose I am having a blast. Wife and kids are extremely supportive, only the oldest boy at nearly 50 next month would carry on, but is too busy with 4 of his own kids at this point in life, just like I was 18 years ago.

Each situation is different, ranting and raving means too busy on the net to be really doing anything meaningful these days.
