Per my post on your Rod question ,,, I have run SB Chevys for over 20 years ( yea I'm Old

I have run all the different blocks ,,, The one I perfer , and as a matter of fact I still have one new , never been used ( along with a lot of other SB stuff ) is a 2 bolt Chevy Bow Tie ( 2 bolt was thicker in the main area ) that has been converted to 4 bolt steel caps , boered to 4.130 ( I never take them all the way out to allow for future re-builds and boering ) decked , cleared for Groden Alumin Bilet 6"rods with a 3.750 stroke and 350 mains ,,, it was for a one piece seal crank but converted over for a 2 piece seal , so it can use any style crank. --- I bought it over 10 years ago when Chey used real metal --- My plans wer to build another SB for back up but the 421 never broke other than spining a bearing after 400 passes --and now I'm a Big Block racer ( Sorry Jason ) 9.90 @ 168 ---- In case you are interested ,, I'll probally sell this spring in parts or I might even put together and sell complete ,,,, Block above , 3.750 BRC used crank , New 6 " Groden Alumin rods , Wiesco Pistons , Comp Cam , lifters new Jeff Jackson aluim oil pan , external pump , new ATI Dampner , new rings etc...every thing need to build a real killer SBC and These are my pride and Joy Small Block Heads , a set of 18 Degree Intake , 23 Degree exhaust heads with Jessel rocker arms ,, these were the heads/top end that Tom Martino set the C/A record at 7.77 prior to running Pro Stock , with Tom's sheet Metal intake that he used !!

I usally attempt to get 50 cents on the $ ,,, Haven't given it much thought ,,, but like most folks , it wouldn't take much for me to sell specificly if it is to another racer who could really use the stuff and it helps him or her out Win / Win ---- I'll give it some thought and post a price list ,,,,, one caution is all parts are new except for Crank ( was repaired from spun bearing , checked , x ray etc ) heads and sheetmetal manifold .
(Heads were gone over and prepared , new springs etc by Watson Ruppel )

The pistons are new Wiesco Flat tops ( final compression was to be around 14.8 :1 ) but were made for heads with Valve releifs to comply with heads (23 degree exhaust and 18 degree Intake ) --- So I couldn't sell the short block with Pistons , but Pan , Block , Balancer , Rods , Cam , CSR water pump , crak trigger (distributer and pick up ) etc is all new still in boxes never used ,,,, I hadn't given it much thought because I was thinking of putting it together and seeing how fast the combination would be ( Martino had a 32x something and I was building a 401 !! ) --- Thanks for asking ,,, I'll follow up !
