big bell or small bellhousing C4?

The C-4 I used to use was a 1979 with the big bellhousing. I also used the 164 tooth flexplate. Like others have said, the small bellhousing is easier to work with in regard to header clearance, but if you use a big bell, make sure you get long tube headers for a stick car. They are made to clear bigger bellhousings liike Lakewood's, etc.
