Historically, auctions are not a accurate indication of the true value on these old war horses, specially the no reserve ones. Not very many people are into these things. They have a very small following & with that, hold a very small corner in the car marketplace. Most of these things trade hands out of the public eye & never see the advertised marketplace.
BUT, it should be very interesting to see what a documented car with pedigree will bring @ auction.
The last LO car to go through an auction house( that I'm aware of) was the Canadian car, the "Demented Dart", & if memory serves my right, it sold @ $179,000.00
For my .002, I don't think it'll go over $200,000.00, because of the extensive mods, but because of the pedigree, I'll put an uneducated guess of $199,000.00 on it.

HEMIDAVE, do I get a ride if I win??
Charlie A. If we ever get a chance to meet somewhere, & I have my car with me, you've got a ride in the "HOLY SHEEEEEET" seat. I believe it's a little faster than 14.80's.It does have mufflers, & is plated.

Ready, should that ever happen. If we were closer I'd be on your doorstep this morning. lol
Clean underwear packed!
And seriously, thanks for the offer.
Can't imagine the expense of just taking one of these out to play!

I frequent American shows when I can get down there. Might make Carlilse this year in July.

As far as expense, the giggle factor is well worth the price of admission..... hehehe---Giddyup

I think Charlie A is about right on the money for the final offer. I'll post a "no sale" on a $180,000 offer. The pedigree on this one will command the value.
Hemidartdave, you wouldn't be offering a ride in a 4 speed by any chance..Mr
If you take a trip downunder Charlie A, give me a yell and I can sort you out in something pretty familiar to you guy's

I just had a cash buyer on a property I had listed.(I sell real estate). Paid above normal market value for the home with no apprasial because it was what he wanted and he could afford it.
Same things happen at auctions. Sometimes sale price is not a true reflection of the market, yet it still has an effect on it.
True Hemi Darts....there will always be value in one with an original heritage. How much will always be partially determined by what the last sale value was, the rest by desire to own and ability to purchase.
And....thanks again. Do I ever wish my real estate market could fund a trip to either offer of a ride. Canada or Down Under would be a blast for several reasons. Went to Montreal for Expo '67. Only time I ever got that far north. Beautiful !

Never forget we are on a mission here.
The heritage of Liteweight's Dart.
