Plus as mentioned, all 260 blocks use the oddball 5 bolt bellhousing, which means that the later C4`s won`t bolt up, and until recently, a 5 bolt SFI scattershield was unavailable, but Quick Times does now list one. You could convert the Falcon to a 65, but even then, I believe that the 289 in the Falcon is 2 barrel only.

You could always sleeve down a 289 block if it was a good combo..

Can't make 64 into a 65 was totally new body

Can't make 64 into a 65 was totally new body?.... um, no, 64 and 65 falcon, same body, different grill and tail lights

What classic looking cars though. Any of you guys know if a 9 inch tire will even fit?

I use a 9" out of a 69 Torino ( not cut down) 15x8 wheels with 5 1/2" back space. Had to push out the fenders and cut the wheel opening on the front for clearance. The tire is a 275 -15 Hoosier DOT radial and 28" tall. Not much room left.

Another difference is the body side moulding. 64's is wider apart than the 65's.
