A 1969 Hurst Publicity Photo,,,,,,
![]() Can anyone tell which car was the #01 AMX Super/Stock car. The Hurst Performance facility just randomly built the cars,,,,,much like the LO23 Darts and BO29 Barracuda's. There was no number system in distributing the cars,,,,, pc Last edited by Paul Ceasrine; 08-11-2011 at 12:28 PM. |

At BeeLine Dragway, Phoenix, Arizona 1969 AHRA Winternationals In her 'best showing' with the 68' SS/BA Hemi Dart. Shirley made it to the Semi-Finals in the SS/E Heads-Up/Non-Handicap Eliminator. Losing to Ed Terry, in a factory-prepped 1969 Ford Mustang w/427 SOHC ![]() Shirley ran one more Race-Event for Chrysler Performance. The next week (February 2 and 3, 1969) at the NHRA Winternationals in Pomona, California. After that, she left the Hemi Dodge Dart, and campaigned for American Motors. Shirley was not that successful campaigning the Dart at S/S events. Her only 1968 S/S Eliminator win with the Dart , was at the Great Lakes Dragaway at Union Grove, Wisconsin,,,,,in June 1968,,,,,one-week before the Springnationals.
