Well, well...so it seems that line up of Hemi Dart's photo has stirred up some interest on here...as I said a few weeks ago before all my posts on here were deleted, my guesses were.

- Gene Snow's Hemi Dart (first one on the left)
- Bill Bagshaw's Red Light Bandit, (first one on the right)
- T-H-T Racing, (second one on the left) or maybe someone else's.
- Dick Landy's Hemi Dart, (far right near the back) behind his Charger.
- Shirley Shahan Drag-On-Lady, (far left near back), see the silver roof stripe.

Geerhead, good eyes on spotting the Sox & Martin hauler and their car in the background as well.

Also pthomasely, do you care to fill us in on who's 68 Hemi Dart you're talking about then, so who's was it?

.

Mr. pthomasely,,,,
After only 2 posts,,,,,,,,you have become the 'expert'.

1) Where am I wrong on the Jack Werst versus Ray Allen information.
Most people say they never faced each other,,,,
I guess the photo that I posted was wrong then,,,,,
And I guess the Karl Gould 'Superbird' with Tim Richards driving,
never beat Ray Allen either,,,,,,which was a 'legal bird' at the 1970 Summernationals..

2) OK Mr. Expert,,,,,,,,1969 AHRA Winternationals,,,,,you say you see a
1970 Plymouth Superbird,,,,,,well that photo is from January 1969.
Just how in the hell did a 1970 Superbird get there,,,,,,,,,they weren't built until the end of the year, in October 1969,,,,,,,,,,'FACT"
Maybe it was a 'special wing' that they had 'flown' in on.

3) By The Way,,,,,,,,,,did you know you spelled inaccurate,,,,,,inaccurate,,,'FACT'

GEEZ,,,,,, I try to post information, and I get slammed by a 'greeter from Las Vegas'

I first want to welcome you to this post, but you may want to enter a little more gracefully. Paul C. has been instrumental in helping me in my quest to find the history of my car, & has added a huge amount of info & shared many pix since then . Now, we are all permitted to make a mistake or two, & considering his track record of CORRECT info, even if he was wrong, there's better means of approach.
I've looked real hard for a wing car in that pix, whether it was a bird or a Daytona, can't see it. Closest I could find of anything with a slope was the tail end of a 68-69 Cutlass. Can you enlighten me?
Also, real interested in your involvment in that LO car in that pic. if you wouldn't mind to share. PM me if you wish to keep it off the public forum

Somehow I was thinking they had drum brakes...

I'd still take it either way. I wonder what their bottom dollar was and who was the lucky new owner.

A '70 Superbird?? Really? I hope you're not confusing the front of the cab of the truck behind the Pennzoil sign as a wing off a Superbird, which is where I'm looking when you say "in the rear top right of the picture".
By the way,,take it easy on Paul,,he didn't deserve that,, and use your real name if you want any respect, newbie,, although you may have blown that by now.
