IHRA Sportsman of the Year
Myron Piatek was named Sportsman of the Year at the awards banquet in Virginia this past weekend. The look on his face when they called his name was priceless

Thanks guys.
Good thing I was sitting with Brien and Trudy because Trudy had had suggested I quit tilting my chair on the back two legs during the ceremony. I would have definitely gone over when they announced my name. I started running names through my head trying to figure out who might get it, but quickly realized there were too many classes and people, many of which I didn't know much about. That's when they called mine! Almost had a panic-attack because the world champs had 1-2 hours to think about what to say on stage. I didn't! "Blind-sided" would be a fitting description. It's still sinking in, but I'm honored. I'm very competitive, but the reality is that we lose more than we win. Nonetheless, it's still a good time, while racing as well as afterwards. That's why I like racing with IHRA. |

That wasn't a hard pick,who else was there.
Myron is well groomed,never says anything bad about anybody(out loud), I don't think he even knows a cuss word. So who else would you pick. Congrats Myron Hammer |
