Default What's The Difference ??

What is the difference between: FS/AC & FS/DC ?? other than index.

Now if this class does not run, let say at a Points Race, i'm guessing they would run
in AA, BB or CC /SA. Is that correct ??

I believe CC/SA index is a 10.60 & FS/AC is a 10.50. What's the difference in these 2
classes ?? Weight ? How Much Weight ?? or other things.

Now, at Indy they let these cars "hang it all out", so some cars were lets say 1.30-1.40
under without getting H.P.

So, i'm guessing at a points race some cars will de-tune them to run only 1.00 under
so that they do not get H.P. Is that a fair statement ??

When they run the Hemi Shootout, does the same rules apply ?? More then 1.00 under, No H.P. ??

NHRA needs to "fix" this letter mess...or maybe I am too old and dumb to understand....

A/S and A/SA should be at the top.....the fastest cars...

OK so maybe AA/S and AA/SA like in the old days when they had some oddball letter designations like S/SA.....

Today a fast A/SA car does not run as fast as a CC/SA car and there is no blower on either car....

I realize they had to make room for all these new cars but it is still very confusing and all the classes should be realigned DOWN and the new cars moved to the top by HP to weight......just like it was always done....

Blower or no blower......?? The few cars that ever had a blower, stock never got any specific class designation....Ford 312's.....about the only one I can recall....

Their HP should be all that is needed to classify them....

The "specialty headsup class" races are out of the normal realm of Stocker racing
Nothing at all wrong with having that since they are pretty awesome cars and some headsup races with nobody letting off or slowing them down is a real plus....

Tops Stock was cool...and so was Jr Stock....

These new cars are just way more powerful and must put on a real good show....

DC are 10 cyl or blower cars and AC are N/A cars under 500 ci. As far as weight goes some are added and some are taken off. Maybe someone that ran the classes can give us more info.

Will they count in the nation class performer stuff?
Seems unfair because they don't have to protect their indexes or their horsepower.
