Hey Alan, genuinely sorry to hear of your loss. Had the exact same situation happen to me some years ago, with the former Thurston/Stinnett Firebird. A body shop in Michigan was doing some very minor things on the car and called on a Friday afternoon to say it was ready to be picked up. I couldn't get over there before he closed and told them I'd come over Saturday morning. Friday night the building burned to the ground. No insurance on the car, not enough insurance on the part of the body shop owner to cover all of the vehicles he had in his possession. Call me, if you need any coaching on how to proceed. I got as much as anybody could, under the circumstances. (734) 664-1164.

Sorry for your loss, I had a similar thing happen in my own shop, 64 Dodge 330 just finished and was a total fire loss 5 years ago. Allstate would not help due to a agents mistake. Still difficult to think about.. |
