Re: 77/78 ford ltd/ mercury marquis 460
LMAO ! -
In the mid 80's II had a 77 LTD (Brogham??) some type of luxury option?...an uncle gave it to me...... It was more like a Continental.... Hidden headlights, Power Everything, Landau Top, it was Silver.... It had a 460 4bbl - the damn thing was fast & a gas eater. 460 was a great motor - smooth etc. within 2 years though.... the headlight doors stopped working, the bumpers literally rusted and fell off, and best of all - the sunroof (which I never even used) would leak... rain water would pool in the roof..... so when you hit the brakes the driver and passenger would get a good soaking (no BS)... it was hysterical. So I'm not sure it wouldve made a good demo-derby car because of how rusty it got! I completely forgot I ever owned it till I saw this post...

Re: 77/78 ford ltd/ mercury marquis 460
Guys, I have a line on a 74-5 Lincoln with the 460 four-barrel, it is running and has 1500 miles on a rebuilt engine, trans, and rear end. Would this be a good one for Stock? It looks brand new (Continental). Lee

Thanks Alan. Was beginning to think it wasn't possible to find one.
Lee, does it have a spreadbore carb ? Either a Thermoquad or a Motorcraft ?
