Default Measuring for pushrod length

What method do you use for measuring for pushrod length? In the past I went with the felt tip marker on the valve tip like most of the cam companies recommend. I've read and watched videos on the 90* at half lift method but haven't tried it yet.

Are you working with roller-tip rockers or "shoe" style?

Stud-mounted or shaft?

How much lift at the valve?

Sorry for lack of info.
Stud mount full roller rockers, I have both 1.5 and 1.6, it's a small block Chevrolet. Lunati solid flat tappet small base circle cam .570/.560 lift with 1.5 rockers.
