definitely less than 10% and if you have gapless end rings less than 5%---if its a tight motor AND NEW never started you are going to see about 3-4 to maybe 5 - 6 %---watch for variations between the cylinder readings especially those cylinders that are next to each other-- not small ones like a few percent but big differences like 10-30%--FED 387

I've got an old Tavia that begin to have problems with the regulator. I bought one of the OTC ones. I found it awkward and clumsy for me. The I noticed the Tavia used a Parker regulator. New regulator, I'm back in business.
I use 1.5 mm gapless rings. The engine had 1% this morning at 300 licks. |
