Re: Where can a competitor watch the race?
Had the same issue yesterday morning prior to the first round of Stock.
I was walking to check the starting line and an older lady and Martha Thompson were stopped and told they could not go to the area designated to crew chiefs . Then he went after me to tell me I could not walk to the track. I showed him my pass and wrist band and he still insisted that I need to leave or I would be removed. I let him have it and asked him if he could read the sign. He read the sign and said he was confused, it was his first time and he was following orders. His supervisor appeared and I told him what had taken place and shared Tom's story. He apologized and said he was removing the kid from the area and he would manage it himself. After that, everything went smoothly with no issues. Last edited by SSDiv6; 02-28-2022 at 09:46 AM. |

Re: Where can a competitor watch the race?
Tom , I am glad you commented about this. I was there also and it was shameful the way they treated team members and racers that wanted to watch. It didn't matter if you had a team uniform and ID on your chest or the RAP wrist band ,it was behind the fence or out the gate. BS!!! Couple of kids running security
