I'll vouch for you though...Give him a break guys as Micheal is a good guy just trying to get back up to speed after a long layoff. Don't crucify him just because he questioned the norm. That's what us engineers are supposed to do. Regarding competitive 170+ mph cars, I would agree that for the most part the competitive fast S/G cars are in the 165 mph range. But, now we're talking semantics. 165 mph / 170 mph - its basically the same thing, and there's a whole boat load of cars that run within +/- 5 mph of 165 mph. But, who cares. I'm going to drink beer.

Re: An Idiots Guide to Super Class Racing
So that's the problem, too many engineers on this board!
I really am going to build a diesel for my car eventually. Really, quit laughing! http://www.nhrda.com/Vdz/20080816/PS.htm (the announcer was reading the "car owner" instead of the driver). We had it running pretty soft to keep from breaking parts, but it has gone 149 mph. I figure an identical motor in my car (1100 lbs lighter) could be a decent S/G motor. Regards,

Yup, he did, but I didn't rub it in. He's a good friend who stays at my house for local races.

Re: An Idiots Guide to Super Class Racing
Mike, if you build a diesel super gas car, I will drive it for you. I like slow cars anyway. Just as long as the exhaust is pointed towards the competitor & we'll put a smoke screen on those fast cars so they can't top end drive.
