Just a guess.....the almost 50 year old iron manifold is getting hard to find. Resto crowd looking for them too.

If you'll notice this $700 intake on eBay has a notch cut out of the divider,
I believe that is not legal for stock.
At least that is what Mark Lelchook said about the 1972 340 cast iron intake
I have with the same notch in the divider.

This is an aftermarket manifold. All standards-rules-assumptions- considerations that apply to traditional replacement parts do not apply here. The notch in the divider was common to all Edelbrock manifolds of that era to allow the use of 3-barrel Holley carbs that were the hot lick of the day.

Thanks Billy. I'll see if I can get the Racer Brown ST-14 cam specs approved for the 273 2bbl, and the STX-24 approved for the 273 4bbl combo. That should help a bunch.

It looks like there was a 700cfm Holley carb that was a replacement to go with the LD340. The 340 guys ought to get that added as well.

I need to take out an insurance policy on my parts.

Insurance policies on parts, engines, etc are available. I had one through K & K Insurance when I crashed, and they paid everything I claimed very promptly. Not so good on the motorhome. Allstate

hmmm, I looked at two 340 intakes, the 2100 and the 025 , they have no notches. the 2100, is for 71 and 72 340. just observation from the field.
