I don't think we got too far off subject from what Rich was talking about. I had a similar experience to the timing being Really advanced on his car, I just have a different application. But we didn't have any help with his trailer issue, hope he gets it resolved though.

Nah, got one of those as well.

Finally got word from Trailer World that my trailer is due to be shipped sometime next week. Meanwhile, I got the truck back yesterday from paint and managed to at least get the exterior back together.

Just a few days shy of 4 months later I finally have custody of the new trailer. Liking it so far, but one thing really bugs me...the winch reinforcement plate welded directly to the top of the floor.

I would have thought it would be installed under the floor and welded between the crossmembers. As installed it will only pull on the plank flooring, not to mention it is large enough to mount a 60hp electric motor on. It's just disappointing to see a piece of metal thrown down on a nice deck and welded in place in such a nice trailer. I can't understand why it would not be given the same consideration as the floor mounted D-rings.

I have to agree with you Rich that there is a much better way to support the winch plate and not welding it to the top of your extruded aluminum floor.

The rest of the trailer looks very nice.

Can you weld or bolt on a brace underneath?
