Some upper A arms use grade 8, 3/8" fine thread bolts at the ends of the shafts. Others have longer shafts with big nuts on the ends. If header clearance allows, you could use them instead.

I redid the front end of my 74 nova last spring and used the afco bushings moog offset top shafts and long ball joints.. made a HUGE difference in my car.. It is so smooth now and drives much better... Would do it again in a heartbeat..
