Common sense would put these specific classes in SS if for nothing else the common weight breaks with SS/A,B and C.

Billy you have been around long enough to know not to use comman sense and NHRA in the same sentence.

Billy,

Bruce Bachelder has been telling racers all year that these new classes were coming. I guess this new car nonsense has nothing to do with common sense and everything to do with money. But another shoe could drop this winter and it might cost them much more than they have gained.

Do stockers on a 9" tire really need to be going well into the 8s at 155+ mph? That is how fast they will be going at 6 lbs/hp

Bob, pretty sure his girlfriend's ( Randi Lynn Shipp ) firebird is at his disposal. Think he even owns it. She's a great racer in her own right BTW, maybe she will even get a shot at Super Stock.

They were not stupid - they already new all they had to do was change the pulley and "voila" it becomes a 2012

Bo has been racing a long time and knows his stuff

They will be capable of going real fast this weekend with a lighter car

:-) peace

Yes indeed, this Bo knows but you may have overlooked this from NHRA...
The horsepower rating for 2012 Ford Cobra Jet, entries with the 330 cubic inch engine and a factory rating of 510 currently rated at 527, has been increased by twenty four horsepower, to 551 horsepower; for Super Stock Eliminator.

The super stock combination is different than the stock engine. so That rule change won't affect the cars in stock
