The last 3 sets of belts that came out of my car all currently reside in some type of local dirt car. One guy calls every year now to see if I have any "New belts that are NO GOOD"

My car almost never sees the sun except when I am at the track but if what was posted below about the sun / UV rays breaking them down I cant blame SFI for covering their ***. I just figure its the cost I pay to play the game and if something does go wrong I am safe.

One thing that does bother me is trans shields / flexplate shields and stuff like that. How does metal break down. I could see if you have something come apart and they wanted to decertify it. But otherwise what could cause them to go bad and need replacing?
