Everyone likes Dyno. He was faster at Indy than Rick Johnson has ever run in SS/AH. Way to go Dyno. Hope you bought Waldo from Stephen Hebert.

Sorry race fans for the lack of reporting so far today but there is no signal whatsoever at the track to post anything. I've returned to my Hotel to post this info.

Let's get you caught up on what's going on so far today. The morning started off with a heavy blanket of fog that covered most of the cornfields in eastern Iowa.

By about 9 o'clock enough of the fog had lifted and the track was dry With enough visibility to start running Super Street.

All the classes got their first qualifying in under cloudy skies with a lots of humidity in the air. Some of the guys that raced here last week noted it was slower today.

As Stock started the second qualifying run the weather begin to change from a slight tail to a heavy cross wind with temperatures getting chilly as a heavy black blanket of clouds quickly blew in from the north.

With Stock Q2 done SC started its second qualifying run and about halfway through that round heavy rain from those dark clouds hit the track. A major weather front is making its way through the area with temperatures dropping and Hi

Strong wind gusts at the moment. After drying the track SC was again loaded in the lanes and just a few pair of cars made it down the track before it started to sprinkle again.

With the High Winds and intermittent rain sprinkles it's not clear when qualifying will be finished today.

Here is round one of STK and SS qualifying. And yes it did seem like there's not that many SS cars here.

There are lots of really cool cars in D5 and combinations that you just don't see anywhere else in the country. And let's start with one of the coolest cars here.

Tri-State has some of the most unique track service equipment that I've run across. I'm guessing this piece of equipment is used to scrub the track.

This looks like some equipment to burnish Rubber into the track

Racing is on hold as a good size cell is passing through. The track has a jet dryer - will have to see if the rain ends in time to use it today.
