Superb article. Can't blame a guy for telling it as he sees it. A little bit of schmoozing his sponsor in the article, but you can't really blame him for that.

Its kinda easy to be misinformed about such things I dont know anybody that works at Ford Racing just making a guess.Im loosing more and more interest in PRO drag racing period...... The Ford Pro Stocks dont even run a Ford based engine....... They run a generic Mopar 99 Hemi lol and then we ask why they are not interested.......

If you have a Stocker, not as much applies. The word Stock in the name has nothing to do with Stock Eliminator. People complain "they all look alike!" Walk through a shopping mall parking lot. Most of the newer cars, of any brand, look just as much alike.
I can't imagine why their appearance bothers some that much. Get real.

How can anybody that knows anything about building engines not be impressed by normally aspirated engines making that kind of power? Or that many cars, of different mfgrs, all running times that close together?
production car not drag car but then who really cares

I can see lots of parallels from his interview that can relate to stock. The price of engines and building a car has gotten out of hand. A good set of heads now cost more than a complete engine did 12 years ago. Transmission that are 5K plus. No wonder we are seeing not very much new blood into the class. For the kind of money that it costs to be build a mid level class car, a kid can build a car that can run faster for less money

Only 15 pro stockers in Charlotte. They should be racing Mustangs, Camaros, and Challengers that look like cars you can buy instead of all looking alike. Rules should be changed to reduce the costs. This is not rocket science to put on a good show that will interest folks.

Butt ugly....hard to tell from the side, bubble butts, good thing they have decals and some sort of grille hints

Regardless of performance I can't stand to watch any of the pro classes

Have to agree. The more recent pro stock cars look absolutely preposterous.. Those scoops are the most hideous creations to ever grace a dragstrip... And the bodies themselves look ridiculous... Very unattractive lines.
