Re: What is the NHRA official rule for Excessive Breaking?
Let’s see how NHRA handles the Super street final since the “winner” locked em up. smoke and all.

Re: What is the NHRA official rule for Excessive Breaking?
In football sometimes holding gets called, most of the time it doesn't.
In basketball sometimes fouls get called, sometimes they don't. All sports have infractions that can be a gray area and calls on them are subjective or intermittently called. The call is at the DD or race directors discretion, that is really all that needs to be said. Sometimes you will get caught, most often you wont. It's part of the game guys. |

You could go through like Joey Chitwood as long as you don't make contact.
When you're holding, you're going to be dumping. Don't know if your ticked about the safety aspect or getting dumped on.

That’s not true. You don’t need to make contact. It’s up to the officials. Ask the Emmons

I can't see holding as much as some drivers do. How are you gonna 'judge' a car coming by you at 70mph faster than you? There were ttons of large breakouts this weekend. I've heard some say that Mr. Multi-time Champ does it...but you ain't no Mr. Champ!

I hope the umpire in this baseball game never gets a job where he is determining what excessive braking is.

Re: What is the NHRA official rule for Excessive Breaking?
You are right Keith, always goes back to DD discretion.
I would like to hear the conversation amongst the DD's on this subject. A little more involved than the common blinder rule.
