Thinking about it, Phil.
Probably good to get it out there once in a while . It's all freshened up , Cometic head gasket, new converter. I do want to keep it that way in case somebody buys it. They won't have to mess with it.

That explains the 1/8th business. I still don't see them listed on the NHRA site, though.

I saw that on Moparts. The owner is from Idaho I believe, he also has a number of other Aspens and Volares for the street and strip.

If somebody had told me that I would be hot rodding and racing Aspen/Volare wagons and 2drs later in life I would have told them they're crazy, especially after owning a multitude of Mopar muscle from the 60's and early 70's..kinda like a stray cat, they wander in and I cant seem to get rid of them lol! They do make fun and relatively speaking inexpensive race cars(if there is such a thing). One of the more unique wagons I've picked up is a 79 ex-Air Force Volare wagon..Air Force dark blue and just as plain jane as it gets(just beggin to go stock eliminator racing).
And about everyone I've got out here(wagon and 2dr)are western rust free cars.

Some of the wagon.
Yes our car was the car that Sidney drove. The person who drove the car before I did took the lettering off for some reason. It it repainted now, and getting another facelift.

Is that an original 79 Sport Wagon? They had all of the wheel flairs/chin spoiler and bucket seats w/console from the factory..here is an original one that I'm putting back together.

Those spoilers are way cool. I wish I could get the kid to take off his roof rack.......probably pick up a MPH. Taking the wind deflector off back window seem to help! Philip: When we set N/SA record last year at National Open they gave us both 1/8 1/4 records.
