Re: Anyone moving to a stick from auto next year?
Scott, I'm with you on the fun factor of racing a stick, and banging the gears (which is why I won't drive a stick car on the street...I'd too easily get in trouble with the bears, county mounties, and the local yolkos), but not with my car. Over the years I've been keeping track of the fwd stockers that have been going rounds, and most (if not all) of them that do go rounds are automatics...mainly because the aftermarket at least makes convertors and shift kits that can hop up an automatic transaxle. However, with the manual transaxle you need to be good (which I'm not) at fabricating components to make them more consistent (and competition worthy) like you rwd 4spd racers enjoy...I always thought if I raced the old-school type of 4spd, I'd borrow from that shift pattern (and my last names 1st letter), and call my car "THE GR8FUL H'er"!!!
