No place in the rules does it say you can not use a race seat. Also, the new CJ's come with Recaro race seats.
Yeah I hear ya. But as we all know lots of the good stuff that comes in the new "Drag Package" cars can't be used in other Stockers. The way I read it, you are correct, "full size aftermarket seats" is what it says in Stock and Super Stock rules. What is Gracia talking about then??? Jim

Jim does that include the seats from an early 60's A100 Dodge van?

Jim, I noticed in some of the earlier threads where you were a proponent of after markets seats...Is this what you envisioned?

Isn't it WONDERFUL when the new rules make things more confusing than just leaving things alone?

I finally got a chance to check-out the new COPO seats at PRI on Thursday, as they had the Orange Convertible on display. They were supplied and installed by MPR, and if they are good enough for GM's flagship race car, they should be OK for anyone, although maybe without the "COPO" stitching!

Would anyone like a part number?

Lew

There will be other part numbers in controversy with NHRA for use in other GM applications, like the "Dearborn" differential that is reminiscent of the Dearborn HD 3 speed trans that Olds and Pontiac used the latter half of the 1960s. GM marketing doesn't like to use the F word, lol, so they called it the Dearborn transmission.

I just got a answer from Pat Cvengros that the Kirkey and Jaz aluminum race seats are legal in Stock for 2013.

That's it! I'm done!

Just bought a Lazy boy recliner for the race car, a little heavy but very comfortable while waiting in the staging lanes.
