I had a 67 440/stick/Dana that I drove to high school. I wore it out.
I rebuilt it (I got the rods right too!) but I got to that tilting stage where I knew enough to know I didn't know enough (or afford it) so I sold it for...............$800

Talking Re: 1967 Plymouth GTX

Heres a '67 GTX that my 'ol highschool buddy Larry Erb had back in the early '70s,, it was equipped with a 440/727 setup. We'd swap rides once in a while,,, he liked my 327/4 speed '67 Malibu, so here it is in my folks driveway before I ventured out one Friday night about 40 years ago.

Daryl,

The 1967 RO23 Hemi Cars were 'Belvedere II' cars.

No GTX left the factory with a functional flat 67' Hemi hood scoop.

Sox & Martin won the 1968 NHRA Springmationals with a 'true' 67' GTX
Street Hemi, dual faux-vent scoop hooded car.

Daryl,

You now have to put one Pinion Subber in the 'kitty' as punishment...

On a lighter note,

Sox & Martin set the 'early' 1967 NHRA SS/E record with their 67' GTX 440 at {12.15}

The "Old Trapper" appears to be a GTX, not a RO23 Belvedere. GTX's had wheelwell chrome, and chrome on the rocker panels. RO23's had chrome on the belt line only. Old Trapper looks to be a GTX with a RO23 hood.

I believe Tony Patchens 67 Coronet was the same deal. Started out as a 67 R/T with a WO23 hood later on.
