I have had contact with some of them, but not lately, with the Mannhattan Speed Parts theory. Mark Janaky has spoke with Al Kirschenbaum recently, & he reports Al doesn't remember this particular Dart.
I will recontact the others

Thanks, glad you liked it.

So,--------- I've been searching for a very rare & elusive piece of Mopar artifacts for a very long time. A Dick Landy autographed cigar!!!!!!. Had a few opportunities when he was still with us, especially when he was over at my house documenting the 68 stick Hemi Dart, but it never happened.
A short time back I met a couple brothers @ the Hemi reunion in Ohio last year. great, great guys, & we've kept in contact since by email. One of them innocently sent pictures of a little treasure chest they aquired back in 97 in Carlisle. They had no idea that I was looking in ernst for one of these things. I think he sent it to me as one of those "Look at what I got" kind of things..........
Turns out they were walking through the show field & Dick just happened to be coming the other way, towards them, with cigar clenched in his teeth. The one brother stopped Dick & asked him if he could get an autographed cigar. Promply Dick says "no problem" & pulls one out of his shirt pocket. In response the brother says to Dick, "No, I don't want a new one, I want that one, the one your chewing on"!!!! Dick complies, & signs it up with a Sharpie.

Fast forward to last month. With much convincing I was able to convince them that I needed to be the new caretaker of that cigar & it now resides in my Humidor keeping my Cohiba's company complete with Landy DNA teeth marks. It is not mine, I am just the caretaker
After all these years it still is in pritine condition, tho a little petrified. Plans are to display it at some shows with my LO23

Many special thanx goes out to "The Brothers". John (ghostmissle here) & Denny Laube.
I now have one less off the bucket list

Thanx for posting those. I've never seen those great pics before.
Good thing those hoodscoops didn't catch on as that is the most butt uggliest air stuffer I've ever seen.

There's you a "two scoop" example Daryl.

A Grump Lump on top of the original scoop with some "aerodynamic" work to not lift the whole thing skyward!

So, are you planning on cloning Dick Landy?
