"Live" From The Columbus Points Race
We left tuesday night to drive to Greenwood In. to have the transmission of the motor home checked out. We have 205XXX miles on the truck and thought it would be good to have it looked at by professionals. We had an eight o'clock appointment wednesday morning with Reliable Transmission, an Allison dealer and service center.
Steve with Reliable started working on the truck as soon as I finished the paper work. He updated the ecu to the latest program, checked condition of the fluid, roadtested, and said the fluid and filter was not due to be changed until 260XXX. All of the work performed on time for less than the price of one new front drag tire. I would recommend them to anyone needing work done on their transmission. Since Greenwood is the home of Ray Skillman Ford and everything else, we ran by there and had lunch with Ray and Bill. Thanks for lunch. They have a really good Cheesecake Factory in Greenwood. Then Larry took another tour of their Museum which has about any make of car and some really neat ones. We then finally got back on the road and stopped at a rest area just inside Ohio to watch the news on TV. Larry fell asleep watching so we just ended up spending the night here. It is 8:20 now and we are still another half hour or so from leaving here. So by the time we stop and get fuel and maybe get the motorhome washed, the gates should be open. They are calling for thunderstorms up this way today, so we will give you more on the weather after we get there. We are looking forward to another great race in Division 3! Come by to see us! |
