Re: Southern Style....
Here's a couple of the old 'Color Me Gone' 1964 Hemi Dodge 330 that ended up going down South...notice the different names on the doors.

Re: Southern Style....
July '74????
I might have been at that one. I was stationed at LRAFB then. Went across the Pacific that december. I remember that "timing tower truck". I think that was the one used at both Carlisle and Stuttgart on alternating weekends. (Lee Taylor?) Thanks for the Grog pics. Now if we can just get some of the green Grog Plymouth Valient.......... Re: Southern Style....
I think I was wrong on that date for the Jackson MS points race. That was 1974 and it is Sonny Cook's Chevy II in the other lane.
Charlie, I worked with Lee Taylor on the crew that ran the races at Carlisle and Stuttgart during the 1969-70-71 years. There are some priceless, hilarious stories that go along with that experience!! Cieri Brothers' black Chevelle Wagon behind the Grog in the staging lane picture of Indy. |

Re: Southern Style....
I always thought the yellow 57 was a better RoHo than this one, but this is the only photo I could find:
