Re: IHRA Cancels Cayuga National Event
remember when norwalk went n.h.r.a.,and i.h.r.a. lost the world finals track(norwalk) then the anoucement of the track to be built to hold the world finals, then that was canceled,12 events down to 11 ,now10 events with the toronto cancel, why has i.h.r.a not moved these events elsewhere??????????? something is not right.wait till you see the low car count in Edmonton,10 pro stocks are going to boycott the race if they do not get some travel relief ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, my 8 cents

Re: IHRA Cancels Cayuga National Event
12 races, 11 races, 10, 9, 8 .....................
wondering out loud..... will the pro teams who have sponsorship packages for 11 races, refund their sposors,,,, they are only going to be televised 10 times, oops maybe nine for the boycotters,,,,, hmm they are pro teams right?,,,,,, Maybe IHRA can send out the cheques on their behalf. How much harder will it be for them to procure money now? this is a warning sign of how tough things are going to get! |

Re: IHRA Cancels Cayuga National Event
Well, I don't know that Cayuga was booted from NHRA. They certainly switched from NHRA to IHRA, but I don't know that NHRA officially told them 'we don't want you in our organization anymore'.
I don't know what the criteria is to be an NHRA or IHRA sanctioned track, but my guess is that its probably not much. If you have a track, you pass a marginal safety inspection, and pay NHRA or IHRA to be part of their group, you're probably in. Plus, Cayuga is a totally different track now than it was when it was still NHRA sanctioned. I'd be very surprised if NHRA said 'No' to their request to go back to NHRA. I don't believe they are asking...I'm just saying IF they DID ask...
