Re: Old Race Parts and Pieces
My "old guy" memory thinks 650 for some reason. They were offered as a crate motor and were never put into production.
Correct me if this is incorrect. .

Re: Old Race Parts and Pieces
D5 Hemi block and one less D5 piston. Not many D5 blocks floating around. I've seen a couple sets of heads, but the blocks seem to be non-existant.

Re: Old Race Parts and Pieces
Early attempt at making a V-2 Hemi engine. This was before CNC machines became common place. Saw a block in half by giving it to a TF driver.

Re: Old Race Parts and Pieces
I am not going to steal the purpose of this post but there are names on here who are the pioneers of the sport of drag racing. Tom Hoover and all of the Ramchargers, Stewart Pomroy of Motown Missle and too many to name are all at the East Coast Drag Times Hall of Fame Reunion. If you are a mopar fan, you can not believe what it is like to sit and just talk with Tom Hoover. Go to the new eastcoastdragtimeshalloffamereunion.com under the heading News, Archives and stories are two 2011 videos which includes a long interview with the Ramchargers.

Re: Old Race Parts and Pieces
I didn't realize it at the time when I took the photos, but this K member was stamped from thin tin. Application was 1968 Hemi Dart. Original owner Dick Landy. This, was NOT acid dipped, it was stamped this way. Never seen one before or after. If I remember correctly, it weighed 13 pounds less than an uncut original. liteweight |
