Bluegrassx, where did the Baracuda you had end up?

Paul/Daryl,
I don't think that Bill Flynn would have gotten 2 new Darts. But Maxwell/Koeffel seemed to to facilitate the purchase of a Hemi Dart/Cuda when they knew the racer/owner was changing class/building a new car - Paul, I think we discussed this on the phone a while back. Bill may have gotten a second car in late 68/early 69? This is only a theory but - stranger things have happened. Paul, what does the lettering say on the door (under the window) of the dealership pic? Usually when racers had 2 cars they also had a second driver. Daryl, about the more famous racers getting early cars - yes but no, The run of cars just before and after yours were not "name' racers.

I was wondering what it said too. I zoomed in and the best I can make out is: "Spokeman", although there seems to be a gap before the word "man" but "man" isn't capitalized.

Good eyes my friend. I missed that. So the car in that photo could very well be the current stick Peddler car. WE NEED MORE PICTURES ON THIS. Did Flynn campaign another earlier car as an auto??
Mark, I somewhat agree with you xept for one car. The Landy stick car is only 2 Vin's earlier than my current car.
What I don't understand is if Dick ordered both his cars at the same time, why are the Vin's on those 2 so far apart?

Can't answer that as Dean had a couple of these cars. Can't see the wheels to identify. I know he ran the car Black with his name on it awhile.

How obvious,,,,,,,

Bill Flynn at Chorches Motors,,,,,,,,,,
Is from either very-late 1968 or very-early-1969,,,,

The banner above the car,,,,,,,,New Dart Swinger 340,,,,,,
340 Dart Swingers became available for 1969, not 1968,

Which means,,,,,,,,,,,
the Bill Flynn, County Dodge car (SS/B 4-speed) was his first car,,,,,,
Also seen at the 68' Springnationals with #922 on the window.

The Chorches Motors car,,,,,,,was his second car (or re-painted first car) ,,,,,,,,,,for the 1969 season.

I'll find out exact details,,,,,,later tonight,,,,,,,,,,,as I have to contact my
ex-Hurst employee friend.

I think we're going on the premiss that the "Unveiling of his new Hemi Dart" at Chorches in late 68 early 69 with the new paint scheme, lettering & outfitted with 69 trim etc. was a second car. This very well could have been his original car because Ma Mopar wanted the factory teams to update to current model year, but in reality it was the original car being showcased for the new 69 model year.
This current car has a very late first production VIN on it. So, the question is, what was the first time ,in 68, was a Peddler car seen or photograhed and when were these later production cars made available. Again because of the late VIN of the current restored Peddler LO, why would have a factory racer been put on the end of the list of available cars rather than toward the beginning of the first run???
