I use & really like the Performance Trends software. Its quite adjustable & pulled me out a bad slump I was in.

For practicing reaction time, I would recommend an actual practice tree over software or phone apps. Software and phone apps are not guaranteed to have 1ms accuracy due to operating system constraints. They are okay for getting in the ballpark though.

I really like to practice in my race car. I use the Portatree Eliminator Super 2000 (but the Pocket Pal also works) and a vehicle connection. My practice tree plugs right into the car, and I can sit in the car at home or at the track and practice between rounds .

No matter the one you choose. If you look on Biondo's site they have a very good tip sheet for using practice trees.

I have an older Portatree. I feel it is repeatable, much more than using the Jegs app on my phone or tablet.
I like that I can use a pedal or button, as I foot brake most of the time and my son uses it for his Jr.

Best would be a full size, with buttons hooked up in the car.

Good luck,
Ken
