Yes, I'm sure you can fix it by throwing money at it. Still a stupid rule for a high 12 second car.

The quickest 4 cylinder Stocker in NHRA Stock Eliminator right now is 11.39 (Marty Buth N/SA )
Thanks, Marty.

Looks like there is a pull-down tab where it can be upgraded to 1-3/4"x.083" Chrome-moly tubing for an additional $353 ($575 total).

And I could probably just leave the two short diagonals out, leaving me with a lighter (but still NHRA-legal) 6-point roll bar.

I cannot disagree with you on that, but it is what it is...

Watson Racing might have a roll bar/cage kit.

Wolfe Racecraft builds the nicest and best fitting roll bar for the Mustang with a lot of options.

They better bring an extra block or two. Factory block doesn't like the Turbo.

If I was going to build one I would go ahead and put the full roll cage in it, its going to end up there any way.

Thanks. I took a look.

Watson makes a chrome-moly 6-point bolt-in roll bar, but it's 1-5/8" tubing, so it wouldn't be NHRA legal, and it has a road-race type diagonal within the main hoop, which is unnecessary for this purpose.

This car would never go fast enough to need a roll cage.

As Mark pointed out, it's unfortunate that NHRA even requires a roll bar (along with a 3.2A/1 suit and 16.1 harness), for a mid-12 second car.

Perhaps a good reason for a roll bar in a "Slower Car" would be racing against 170mph "Stockers"
